About the role

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Academy is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher who is committed to academic excellence, student growth, and the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher, creating a welcoming, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Teach Mathematics and Science to students in Grades 3 and 4 as part of a departmentalized instructional model.
• Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress and provide appropriate differentiation and intervention.
• Maintain effective classroom management and clear expectations for student learning and behavior.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and families regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with the Grade 4 teacher, administration, and support staff to ensure instructional consistency and student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and activities that support the Catholic identity and mission of the Academy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred or currently working toward an advanced degree.
• New York State teaching certification preferred, on pathway.
• Strong knowledge of elementary Mathematics and Science instruction.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying academic needs.
• Commitment to working collaboratively within a Catholic school community.
