What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and visitor processing at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, screen individuals and/or belongings as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.
- Maintain accurate logs, badges, keys, and access records, and communicate relevant activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and support security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA, DPSS, and/or DHS requirements.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
