Detention Security Officer - Driving Role

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization while following established post orders and facility guidelines.
• Support movement control and general order within the location by observing activity, communicating with site contacts, and escalating unusual situations or policy violations as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years of age.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years of age.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and problem-solve in emergencies.
• Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Ability to conduct regular patrols and monitor access points.
