About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support visitor processing, and perform routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and production-related areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to gates, doors, loading areas, and other access-controlled points throughout the location.
- Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or access issues, and following established procedures for deliveries, visitors, and/or vendor arrivals.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
