About the Role

You will be working on a wide variety of projects, ranging from buildings and infrastructure in major city environments to rural and countryside developments. Working alongside experienced teams, you will develop hands-on experience using both traditional surveying techniques and the latest geospatial technologies contributing to projects for our North American clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Surveyors across with data collection and data processing activities.
  • Support the delivery of projects in line with company quality standards, technical specifications, and health and safety requirements.
  • Develop knowledge of survey theory, industry best practice, new technologies, and surveying instrumentation.
  • Help ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales and commercial expectations.
  • Report project progress to Project Managers and support effective project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients on site regarding project specifications and deliverables when required.
  • Work closely with Surveyors and our Regional Manager to gain practical experience and technical knowledge across all aspects of surveying.
  • Work flexibly, including occasional night work and working away from home.
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Previous surveying experience or a relevant qualification in Surveying, Geospatial, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Confidence using IT applications and technology.
  • A willingness to travel frequently, work flexible hours, and occasionally stay away from home.
  • A valid state-issued driving licence.
  • A genuine passion for building a career within the surveying and geospatial industry.
  • Familiarity with Leica survey equipment is desirable.
  • Experience using laser scanning technology.
  • Experience with data processing and AutoCAD.
