Junior Staff Accountant
About the role
Your Role As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations of the plant, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, collections, general accounting activities, and other financial and administrative tasks. Your key tasks will include: Process vendor invoices and maintain Accounts Payable records.
Prepare customer invoices, apply cash receipts, and maintain Accounts Receivable records.
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and collections.
Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and general ledger accounts.
Aid with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare journal entries and support account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Aid with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.
Generate financial reports and perform data analysis as requested.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of prior experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and systems and comfort in leveraging AI to improve efficiency, analyze information, and support day-to-day accounting tasks.
