About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join the J42 Urology Ward team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior nurse who is adaptable, forward-thinking, and committed to leading and embracing change. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a creative approach to improving patient care.
The role involves working closely with the Ward Leader to enhance patient safety, care quality, and overall experience, while also supporting and developing staff at all levels. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced ward environment and bring the energy, resilience, and drive needed to support senior leaders, ward staff, and patients, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
Why join our team
Urology sits within Abdominal Medicine and Surgery CSU. The ward is unique as it is the only urology ward caring for both acute and elective patients who require a hospital stay. The team works closely with the urology consultants to ensure patients are safe, well cared for, and consistently receive a high standard of care. The ward also collaborates with the wider urology departments, offering valuable opportunities for professional development within the speciality.
J42 is a welcoming and supportive place to work, known for its positive atmosphere, strong teamwork, and patient-centred approach. The team is frequently recognised for delivering excellent patient care, even in the face of challenging and high-acuity situations.
