Junior QA Tester

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role• Support the mission of a critical Air Force planning system by performing integration, formal, and informal manual verification and validation of new and updated software.• Test all product aspects throughout the software development lifecycle, from development through delivery.• Create and execute manual testing procedures to evaluate software performance and identify deficiencies.• Collaborate with other engineers to define the best technical design and approach for new product development.• Adhere to Agile processes and software testing best practices, utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git for work management and team collaboration.• Assist in the creation and updating of relevant test documentation and specifications. What You'll Need• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or a related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience.• Experience in writing and developing test procedures.• Knowledge of software design patterns and Agile development methodologies.• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).• Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Mac OSX, Windows, LINUX, etc.).• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
