About the role

Conducting detailed analyses of operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for performance improvements
Developing and applying mathematical models and statistical techniques to evaluate decision alternatives and optimize resource allocation
Preparing comprehensive reports and technical documentation that summarize analytical findings and support strategic planning initiatives
Collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to validate analytical models and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
Monitoring key performance indicators and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with contractual and DoD standards

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in an operations research analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering discipline, computer science or IT discipline, or technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methods to evaluate operational performance and identify efficiency improvements in line with DoD requirements
  • Proficient in using statistical and optimization software tools to model complex systems, perform sensitivity analyses, and support decision-making processes
  • Skilled in developing detailed analytical reports and presentations that translate data insights into actionable recommendations
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with advanced analytical tools such as MATLAB, R, or Python for data mining and simulation to enhance research outcomes
  • Experience with operations research methodologies (e.g., linear programming, decision analysis, and simulation modeling) to optimize system processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, analytical environment
