Junior Network Engineer

About the role

The Role

• Support enterprise network operations
• Monitor performance and assist with routine tasks across LAN, WAN, wireless, and external connectivity
• Generate and maintain bandwidth and utilization reports
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), availability metrics, and service performance to support SLA compliance
• Aid in preparing and distributing communications for planned outages and maintenance activities
• Support incident response activities by assisting mid and senior engineers with monitoring, ticket updates, and basic troubleshooting tasks
• Update and maintain records in enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow)

Requirements

What You'll Need

• Experience supporting IT operations, network operations, or technical support functions in an enterprise environment
• Ability to create and maintain reports on network performance, utilization, and availability metrics
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network performance metrics
• Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational records accurately
• Experience supporting ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for tracking operational activities

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a related technical role

Annual salary of $50,000 - $60,000
