Junior Network Engineer

We are working with a trusted federal partner that supports mission-critical programs across national security, defense, and public service delivery. The Role Support enterprise network operations, monitoring performance and assisting with routine tasks across LAN, WAN, wireless, and external connectivity. Generate and maintain bandwidth and utilization reports, providing visibility into network performance and usage trends. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), availability metrics, and service performance to support SLA compliance. Assist in preparing and distributing communications for planned outages and maintenance activities. Support incident response activities by assisting mid and senior engineers with monitoring, ticket updates, and basic troubleshooting tasks. Update and maintain records in enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring accuracy and completeness of operational data. What You'll Need Experience supporting IT operations, network operations, or technical support functions in an enterprise environment. Ability to create and maintain reports on network performance, utilization, and availability metrics. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network performance metrics. Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational records accurately. Experience supporting ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for tracking operational activities. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience); 1+ years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a related technical role.
