Junior Lender / Portfolio Manager

About the role

A well-respected, community-focused bank with a strong presence across North Dakota is quietly adding a Junior Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager to their team in the Devils Lake area. This is an excellent seat for someone with 2+ years of Ag or Commercial credit experience who's eager to advance into a full lending role.

Responsibilities

• Support senior lenders and manage credit and portfolio relationships
• Gain experience in underwriting, loan processing, and portfolio management
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Assist in developing and implementing lending strategies
• Prepare and present loan proposals and reports
• Manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of Ag or Commercial credit experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Preferred certifications such as CMA, CLM, or CLP

Skills

• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
• Experience with commercial and agricultural lending
• Knowledge of local markets and economic conditions
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
