About the role

The Junior Field Service Technician position at Core Health & Fitness is an entry-level role responsible for inspecting, servicing, and completing basic repairs on all products in the Core Health and Fitness family. This includes Nautilus, StairMaster, Star Trac, Schwinn, Throwdown, and Wexler. The role involves developing and sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty through exemplary inspections, maintenance, and repair of all brands.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly inspections at a few Key Account locations and make repairs/adjustments as needed.
  • Accept, schedule, and complete work orders within 48 hours.
  • Inspect all equipment during specified visits to Key Accounts.
  • Ensure all service calls are documented (start to completion) and Service Reports are properly completed and submitted in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow testing procedures accurately.
  • Service and maintain Core Health and Fitness products at customer locations in assigned region; ensure repairs are carried out following company policies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality and courteous support in a timely manner.
  • Communicate information regarding product performance and relay field feedback to Director of Services.
  • Understand and recognize technical documentation.
  • Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Inspect newly installed equipment on site where necessary.
  • Maintain van part stock through regular cycle counts, inventory replacement requests, and timely paperwork processing.
  • Return parts with proper documentation and use precautionary procedures to safeguard company parts and equipment.
  • Attend required trainings, learn all computer systems used for workday, and pass certifications on all relevant equipment.
  • Manage a company vehicle and park in a safe location.
  • Submit expense reports and other paperwork on time.
  • Act in a safe manner and ensure those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.
  • Provide basic hand tools.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College/Tech degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a customer facing technical support or service roll required.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical/technical problem solving, advanced knowledge of the use of hand tools, ability to recognize and solve problems in a timely manner, strong sense of urgency to achieve a high percentage of goals, willingness to assist teammates when needed, ability to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with a diverse group of co-workers, contributes to a positive working environment, demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to be consistently accurate, unwaivering attention to detail and commitment to world-class quality, skilled in planning, organization, and establishing multiple priorities for work assignments.
