About the role
As a Junior Demand Planner, you support the creation and improvement of the sales forecast, ensuring an optimal balance between demand and operations alongside Commerce and Supply Chain teams. You contribute directly to delivering healthy and fresh fruit and vegetable products daily for the Netherlands and Belgium. In this role, you assist Demand Planners in coordinating and maintaining the sales forecast, collaborating closely with Commerce, Supply Chain, and customers while reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. You’ll have ample opportunity to learn, analyze, and actively improve the demand planning process.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation of the sales forecast based on statistical data.
- Manage and maintain cannibalization and out-of-stock factors at the product level.
- Develop alternative demand plan scenarios.
- Take demand responsibility for a portion of the assortment.
- Assume demand planning tasks during the absence of the Demand Planner.
- Identify and assess events impacting the forecast, such as promotions and weather influences.
- Perform analyses to identify and implement structural improvements in forecast accuracy and processes.
- Monitor and analyze weekly sales trends, deviations, action progress, and new product introductions.
- Prepare and facilitate S&OP meetings, including reporting.
- Coordinate with customers during periodic consultations and exceptional situations.
- Participate in projects, such as out-of-stock days, promotional weeks, and new product introductions.
Requirements
- HBO/WO (higher vocational/university) level of thinking and working.
- Experience working in an automated environment and/or ERP system.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with and knowledge of Power BI or comparable analysis tools.
