Demand Planner
Job Summary
The Demand Planner plays a critical role in facilitating demand planning for Global Analytics consisting of 3 Operations sites, 2+ Distribution Centers and 10+ Commercial organizations. The Demand Planner will consolidate an 18-month rolling demand plan for Analytics, which provides an unconstrained view of demand opportunities in the market.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to consolidate an 18-month rolling demand & margin/mix plan for the Analytics segment in Americas and Europe
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, and other factors to help develop accurate forecast models
- Cook up the demand planning process, critique, analyze, and provide integrated understanding
- Represent the demand planning function in the M&CS SIOP process including monthly presentations to cross functional teams
- Pivot data collection and reporting for total MCS
- Aid in data validation and user testing during software implementation that is relevant to planning
- Facilitate strategic decisions on issue resolution & gap closing
- Provide summary of sensitivities, vulnerabilities, opportunities to relevant KPIs
- Ensure consistency with Xylem process standards for Demand Planning across the Analytics sites
- Continuous improvement of demand planning process, exploring opportunities to streamline existing processes
Other Functions
- Facilitate data collection and reporting for total MCS
- Aid in data validation and user testing during software implementation that is relevant to planning
- Crosstrain, Backup and temporarily replace members of the SIOP group as required

Qualifications
- Strong academic track record at university in related field (e.g. engineering, supply chain)
- Minimum 2+ years relevant supply chain experience for a Global international company
- Demonstrated Leadership & Strategic development
- Excellent English skills and other languages is a plus
- Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing, CI, and/or six sigma tools & concepts
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel and ERP planning systems
- Ability to translate business and financial goals into action plans
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels from manufacturing floor to Executive
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a rapidly changing stressful environment

Pay and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
