Junior Data Analyst

About the Role

Smartly Technologies is adding a Junior Data Analyst to its team supporting managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud services, software and web delivery, technical support, systems, data, projects, and customer service. The Junior Data Analyst will analyze business data and turn it into accurate reports, trends, and practical insights. The opening is full time, fully remote, and open to candidates throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data connected to managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud services, software and web delivery, technical support, systems, data, projects, and customer service from approved spreadsheets, reports, databases, and business systems.
• Build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and tracking files for key performance measures.
• Investigate unusual values, missing records, and data inconsistencies and document the resolution across managed IT and technical delivery.
• Translate analysis into clear summaries that explain trends, changes, exceptions, and business impact for the Smartly Technologies team.
• Maintain calculation logic, filters, metric definitions, and source notes so reporting remains reproducible while supporting managed IT and technical delivery.
• Support ad hoc analysis requests while protecting confidential business and customer information.

Qualifications

• Relevant analytical training or practical experience; analyst-level experience is preferred.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and familiarity with SQL, BI, reporting, or visualization tools.
• Comfort working with large datasets and checking calculations, filters, joins, and source quality.
• Ability to explain analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.

Pay

Base salary: $72,000 - $81,000 per year

Full Time, 100% Remote — United States
