What You Will Do
- Provide technical support and guidance in the collection, analysis, and visualization of various data.
- Support data analysis and data visualization activities using tools such as Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, Socrata, and others.
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and improving data products, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Help gather, organize, validate, and analyze data to support transportation policy, program, and performance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection and analysis processes.
- Respond to requests for data support and help ensure timely delivery of accurate information products.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, information systems, mathematics, economics, or a related field.
- Zero (0) to Two (2) years of professional experience.
- Experience or familiarity with one or more data analysis and visualization platforms, such as Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or Socrata.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collect, clean, analyze, and present data accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple priorities.
- Must be US citizens.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Must work from the client HQ in Washington DC four days per week.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience supporting transportation data, policy, or performance reporting.
- Familiarity with the U.S. DOT or highway policy information data environment.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, or visualizations for external or internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data quality assurance practices and data management best practices.
- Exposure to public-sector data collection, analysis, or reporting tools.
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00–$94,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
