Junior Corporate Finance Associate (Chicago)

About the Role

Holland & Knight’s Corporate Finance Group is seeking a junior associate with approximately one to three years of legal experience to join its corporate finance practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in the documentation, negotiation, and closing of finance transactions, including asset-based, real estate, and/or cash flow loans. Less experienced candidates (1-2 years of experience) should have general transactional experience but need not have prior finance-transaction experience.

This role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on training, and the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative and well-established team. The firm prefers candidates who reside in, or are willing to relocate to, the Chicago area prior to hire.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of legal experience (candidates with 1–2 years of general transactional experience will be considered)
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent drafting skills
• High level of motivation and attention to detail
• Licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in Illinois (active member of the Illinois Bar or ability to waive in with 1+ years of transferable experience)

Pay

The pay range for this position in Chicago is $235,000 – $260,000 per year. This range may not apply to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.
