Junior Buyer - Automation

ENGEL Machinery North America has an opportunity for a Junior Buyer - Automation. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of procurement and administrative processes within a fast-paced environment and offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in procurement, logistics, and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage order confirmations from vendors.
- Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices, or deliveries.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
- Resolve issues promptly and maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Update internal teams on any delivery or supply chain disruptions.
- Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and availability of company cars and local apartments.
- Monitor and manage office supply inventory.
- Research and source cost-effective options for office needs.
- Manage the ordering of parts and supplies for the Wilmington facility to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage procurement of bulk hardware for automation projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely hardware availability.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or coursework in business, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement, administrative coordination, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting at a computer and keyboarding, data input, and reading for periods longer than 2 hours on a continuous basis and occasional walking.
- Listening skills are important for working with vendors on negotiations, gathering information for/from vendors, and gathering information from co-workers.
- Occasional exposure to noise may happen.
Other Requirements
- Minimal travel, less than 5% to potentially visit local vendors.
