Junior Barista

About the Role

The Junior Barista contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service, ensuring prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. This role creates a welcoming space where guests feel a sense of belonging and excitement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares quality beverages and food products consistently by following all recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so partners can easily locate resources and products.
• Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale or performance and communicating them to the supervisor.
• Delivers legendary customer service by prioritizing the customer, connecting with them, and responding to their needs.
• Assists in training new partners by positively reinforcing successful performance.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during high-volume or unusual events to keep store operations running smoothly.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and follow instructions in various formats.
• Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition.
• Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training.
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License for this position.
• Must be willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
