Junior Analyst - Power Bi Dashboard Developer

Position Overview

The Junior Analyst – Dashboard Development position supports StepStone's Data and Technology Solutions (DATS) team by developing, testing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, data models, and ad-hoc analyses. This role contributes to firmwide reporting initiatives that provide insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

• Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform dashboard quality assurance testing in accordance with established team guidelines.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Develop subject matter expertise in StepStone’s business model, private markets industry, and emerging data analytics trends.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM related field preferred but not required.
• Prior experience working with data models and business intelligence platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects or coursework that added measurable value.

Other Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
• An analytical mindset with a strong commitment to data accuracy, particularly important given the QA responsibilities of this role.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, dashboard design, and BI best practices.
• Effective communicator, able to clearly document issues, flag discrepancies, and summarize findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to change.
• Naturally inquisitive, eager to learn new technologies and industry best practices.

Salary

$30 / hour
