Judicial Clerk I - Part-Time

Colorado Judicial Branch · Denver, CO · 1 mo ago
Legal$46k–$67k/yrPart-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections with headings

for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID etc. Must remove boilerplate. Must preserve all substantive info. We need to parse the posting. Key info: - Position Information: Job Code: R51250, Full Time, Salary Range: $46,221.60 - $67,021.56, FLSA Status: Non-exempt. Also "Learn More About Employee Benefits" (maybe a link). There's a note about Talent Pool, Colorado Applicants notice, Mission Statement, Statement of Duties, Additional Comments, Essential Functions, etc. We need sections: About the role (maybe summary), Responsibilities (essential functions), Requirements (minimum qualifications), Qualifications (maybe education/experience?), Skills (knowledge & skills), Benefits (maybe mention employee benefits?), Pay (salary range), Schedule (full time). Also maybe "FLSA Status" could be part of About the role. We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual salary range, so Pay section is valid. Schedule: Full time is given, so we can include Schedule section with "Full time". Benefits: There's "Learn More About Employee Benefits" but no specifics. The posting mentions "Learn More About Employee Benefits" but does not list benefits. Should we include Benefits section? The rule: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g., "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. The posting says "Learn More About Employee Benefits" but does not list benefits. That's not specific content; it's a link placeholder. So we should NOT include Benefits section because no specific benefits listed. Similarly, we have Salary Range specific, so Pay section is okay. Schedule: "Full Time" is specific, so Schedule section okay. Now we need to extract substantive content for each section. About the role: Could combine Mission Statement, Statement of Duties summary, maybe "Provides entry level case processing assistance and customer service via counter, telephone, and electronic means." Also "This position is part of a progressive job series..." etc. Also "Judicial Department works to provide equal access to justice..." That's mission statement. Also "Learn More About Employee Benefits" not needed. Also "This posting may be used to create a Talent Pool..." maybe not needed as it's boilerplate? It's not exactly boilerplate but it's about talent pool; could be considered metadata. Might be okay to include in About the role? The instruction: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. Talent pool notice maybe not boilerplate but could be considered administrative. Might be okay to keep? It's not about the role. Safer to omit. Thus About the role could include mission statement and summary of job classification. Responsibilities: Essential Functions list (the long list). We'll put as
  • items. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience Equivalency: High school diploma or G.E.D. Work Related Experience None. Licenses And Certifications None. Also maybe "Physical Effort Requirements", "Work Environment", "Work Location". Those could be under Requirements or Qualifications? Usually Requirements includes education/experience, licenses, physical, etc. We'll put them. Qualifications: Could be knowledge & skills section? The posting has "Knowledge & Skills" and "Fiscal Responsibility". Could treat as Qualifications. But we already have Requirements; maybe we split: Requirements = education/experience/licenses; Qualifications = knowledge & skills, fiscal responsibility, etc. However we must not create thin sections. Let's see if we have enough content for each. We have: - Knowledge & Skills: "Work requires the use of basic skills and general knowledge of work. Incumbent can complete basic or routine tasks, but frequently references others for non-routine tasks. Likely impact on organization is standard." - Fiscal Responsibility: "May be responsible for the billing, collection and/or accounting of funds. May be responsible for the handling and balancing of cash." - Human Collaboration, Freedom To Act & Impact Of Actions, Supervisor Responsibilities (none), etc. Those could be part of Qualifications or Requirements? Might be too many sections. We could combine Knowledge & Skills and Fiscal Responsibility into a "Qualifications" section with bullet points. Skills: Could be separate but we already have Knowledge & Skills. The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we have both Qualifications and Skills as possible sections. We need to decide what goes where. We could put: - Requirements: Education/Experience, Licenses, Physical Effort, Work Environment, Work Location. - Qualifications: Knowledge & Skills, Fiscal Responsibility, Human Collaboration, Freedom To Act & Impact Of Actions (maybe summarised). - Skills: maybe not needed if we already have Knowledge & Skills; but we could treat Knowledge & Skills as Skills section. However we already used Qualifications for knowledge & skills. Let's think: The typical distinction: Requirements = minimum qualifications (education, experience). Qualifications = preferred qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities). Skills = specific skills (technical, soft). But we have limited content. Given the instruction to prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones, we might combine Qualifications and Skills into one section, but we need to follow headings list; we can omit Skills if not substantive. However we have Knowledge & Skills content; we could put that under Qualifications. Then we could omit Skills section. Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Pay, Schedule. Check if we have content for each: - About the role: Mission statement + summary of job classification + maybe note about progressive job series? That's substantive. - Responsibilities: Essential Functions list (lots). - Requirements: Education (HS diploma/GED), Experience (None), Licenses (None), Physical Effort, Work Environment, Work Location. - Qualifications: Knowledge & Skills, Fiscal Responsibility, Human Collaboration, Freedom To Act & Impact Of Actions (maybe summarised), Supervisor Responsibilities (none) maybe omit. - Pay: Salary range. - Schedule: Full time. We must not include filler like "not specified". All content is specific. Now we need to format as HTML fragment, using

for each section heading, then content:

    for prose,

    • for lists. We must not include any extra markup like or . Just the fragment. We must ensure we don't repeat job title as heading. No job title appears in the posting? It says "POSITION INFORMATION" but not the title. The title likely is Judicial Clerk I/II but we must not repeat it. So fine. We must not include Job ID etc. We'll omit Job Code? The instruction: "do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." Job Code is minor metadata; we could fold into a short

maybe under About the role or ignore. Safer to drop it? But we need to preserve ALL substantive information; dropping Job Code might be considered losing info. However it's minor metadata; we can fold into a short

. Let's include a paragraph with "Job Code: R51250." maybe under About the role. Also Full Time is schedule; we already have Schedule section. FLSA Status: Non-exempt could be included in About the role or Pay? Probably About the role. Now let's craft. About the role
