Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic - Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely repairs on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop
• Diagnose malfunctions or system failures and determine the best course of action to return trucks to peak performance
• Repair or rebuild cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems
• Maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and extend vehicle life
• Work under pressure with sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks
• Experience with engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Cummins and MX software experience preferred
• Self-motivation and assertiveness with the ability to work under little or no supervision
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills
• Must provide own tools

Pay

$35.35–$39.90 per hour (depending on experience)
