Job Summary

New Age Motors is seeking a Journeyman Auto Mechanic for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be employed in a clean, organized shop in the Leduc business park. Responsibilities include performing quality repairs, interpreting work orders, assisting with diagnostics, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing quality repairs and preventative maintenance services on light/medium duty trucks and passenger vehicles
• Ensuring repairs are done according to manufacturer's procedures and safely
• Interpreting work orders and technical manuals
• Assisting in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures
• Completing service documentation as per instructions
• Training and assisting other technicians or apprentices with their work
• Performing shop cleanup and housekeeping
• Assisting with out-of-province and AMVIC inspections
• Providing general customer service

Qualifications

• Red seal certificate
• Experience in diagnosis and trouble shooting
• Diesel and gas engine experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a repair shop atmosphere
• Ability to work well with other mechanics
• Equipment experience (hoists, tire changers, balancers, alignment machines)
• CVIP License asset
• Knowledge in tuning, customizing, aftermarket parts
• Must reside in Edmonton/Leduc area

Job Details and Compensation

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Experience: Automotive Technician (5 years required)
• Licenses/Certifications: ASE Certification (required), Driver's License (required)
• Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
• Additional pay: Overtime pay
• Expected hours: 40 per week
• Schedule: 8-hour shift, Day shift Monday to Friday
• Work Location: In person
