  • Compensation range: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour

Assistant Chief Engineer

  • Compensation range: $80,000.00 to $82,000.00

About the role

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is a full-service asset services partner operating across the Hawaiian Islands. We provide janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services, and restoration services for various issues such as water damage, fire damage, and mold remediation.

Responsibilities

As a custodian, floater, or mobile workforce technician, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and performing general cleaning tasks. You may also assist in other maintenance tasks as needed.

Custodians (Lead, Supervisor, Mobile Workforce Elite) will oversee and train other staff members, manage daily schedules, and ensure that all cleaning standards are met.

Pools attendants/maintenance workers will assist with pool maintenance, cleaning, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of swimming pools.

Maintenance apprentices will learn and perform various maintenance tasks under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in different areas of building maintenance.

Maintenance technicians and floaters will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Assistant chief engineers will lead and manage teams of maintenance technicians, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Requirements

To apply for these positions, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant experience in the field. Specific requirements vary by position, but generally include physical fitness, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, be able to follow instructions, and possess a valid driver's license where applicable. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills

Essential skills for these roles include attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also important.
