Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to join a four-surgeon team at our Heart Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time position offers an inpatient/outpatient mix within a multi-specialty practice designed by physicians with patients in mind.

About the Role

• Full-time employment (1.0 FTE)
• Join a team of 39 physicians, 23 advanced practice providers (APP), and support staff
• Onsite X-ray and lab facilities
• Access to Da Vinci V robotic system and Lung Cancer Program
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Daily patient load: 14–16 patients
• Rotating call coverage (every 4th week)
• Smart technology integration: Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding

Requirements

• ABTS certification in thoracic surgery
• Both experienced and graduating thoracic surgeons are encouraged to apply
