About the Role
Join a four-surgeon team at the Heart Hospital and University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Be part of a multi-specialty practice primarily working out of the Heart Hospital, designed by physicians with patients in mind.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. You will be part of a team of 39 physicians, 23 advanced practice providers (APP), and support staff. Onsite resources include ECHO, Vascular, Nuclear, CT Testing, X-ray, Lab, Da Vinci XI robotic system, and a Hybrid Room.
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Daily Patient Load: 14-16 patients
Call Coverage: Rotating (every 4th week)
Smart technology, including Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe, helps automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.
Requirements
- ABTS certified in cardiac surgery
- Experienced and graduating cardiac surgeons are encouraged to apply
