Jobsite Material Coordinator - NC

About the role

The Jobsite Material Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations at customer jobsites. This role involves coordinating material handling, inventory management, and logistics to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Covers essential functions such as coordinating material deliveries, managing inventory, and leading VMI programs.
• Ensures material is prepared, staged, or kitted for construction activities and manages field material requests.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels, monitors project schedules, and coordinates inventory control activities.
• Communicates with customers and branch personnel on inventory changes and manages back-ordered items.
• Operates and maintains warehouse and material handling equipment safely and complies with company and government standards.
• Performs SAP or equivalent system functions to track inventory and ensures accurate documentation of warehouse and delivery activities.
• Provides responsive, quality service to customers and assists in planning and coordinating shipments to align with project schedules.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience in construction or logistics.
• Prior construction experience, including large equipment or forklift operation.
• Good knowledge of electrical products/systems is preferred.
• A minimum of 21 years of age.
• A valid Class A CDL driver's license and current medical certification are a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Internet, Email, and SAP software.
• Heavy material lifting experience.
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment, equipment inspection, hazard assessment, slings and hitches, load charts and angles, and securing loads to flatbed trailers.
