About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of our HR & Administrative department in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in local employment law, talent acquisition, and HR management, with the ability to drive HR initiatives and support company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the HR & Administrative department.
  • Design, review, and execute HR policies to support company growth.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including onboarding/off-boarding, employment contracts, and consultant contract renewals.
  • Manage Work Permit (WP), S Pass, and Employment Pass applications and renewals.
  • Assist management in monitoring department heads' KPIs and performance appraisals.
  • Liaise with government agencies on HR-related surveys, reports, funding applications, and claims.
  • Partner with department managers for employee learning and development.
  • Advise management on employee relations matters, including disciplinary issues, grievances, absenteeism, and disputes.
  • Drive HR initiatives related to COVID-19 compliance and safety.
  • Process monthly payroll.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act.
  • Familiarity with local talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement.
  • Experience working with external consultants for overseas talent development and HR management systems.
  • Strong HR and administrative management skills with effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software (e.g., WhyzeAbility).
  • Ability to draft employment contracts; legal knowledge is highly valued.
  • Business knowledge or experience in the Testing-Inspection-Certification (TIC) or Marine Service industry is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial relations and dispute resolution.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resource, or equivalent.
