Job Order Clerk

Support APTIM’s Resource Planning Branch at Redstone Arsenal by receiving work requests for maintenance or repairs to buildings/equipment, evaluating requirements to determine contract scope, referring non-contractual items, documenting standard instructions for common trouble calls, setting response dates/times, providing work status to requestors, and executing tasks assigned by the Resource Planning Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze work requirements based on technical knowledge of facility/utility systems.
  • Determine actual need and shop resources capability to perform.
  • Review requirements against other scheduled and planned work to eliminate duplication.
  • Verify customer authorization to submit job order requests.
  • Ensure all required information for processing job orders is provided.
  • Verify job order (JON) validity for charging labor hours and parts with direction from Resource Planning Supervisor.
  • Generate Maintenance Connection (MC) job orders and forward to appropriate shop for maintenance/repair actions.
  • Complete work orders in MC and make parallel entries in General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Army Maintenance Activity (ArMA).
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance; work overtime as required.
  • Work cooperatively with others and interact professionally in the workplace.
  • Use computers for email, reports, and work schedules using Microsoft software.
  • Review and analyze data concerning GFEBS, ARAMA, and MAC.
  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor work assignments; complete tasks/projects timely.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
  • Work closely and harmoniously with other departments.
  • Deal with diverse people professionally and courteously in various situations.
  • Follow company standard operating procedures and personnel policies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.
  • Contact or respond to craftsmen, supervisors, and customers for input or clarification on specific problems.
  • Perform all tasks/functions required to accomplish assigned duties in accordance with contract and corporate procedures.

Requirements

  • Real ID required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Meet requirements for pre-employment physical, drug screening, background check, and MVR check (MVR points subject to company policy).
  • Obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) and National Agency Check (NAC) as required by contract.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource coordination and familiarity with multi-function government installation maintenance activities supporting critical missions.
  • Minimum 2 years working in an organization performing various maintenance services for a large commercial/government installation.
  • Skills to deal with customers cooperatively and tactfully.
  • Working knowledge of common computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and email.
  • Ability to work shifts of at least 8 hours, 5 days per week, and occasionally longer.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environments and office settings.
  • Ability to receive and understand direction from supervision and management.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $26.37 per hour. Compensation depends on experience, education, key skills, geographic location, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity.
