About the Role
Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Job Development Assistant to join their wonderful team. This position is fully on site in East Harlem.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required; Master's preferred
- Must have demonstrated experience in youth development, education, or social services
- Knowledge of youth workforce programs; DYCD exposure a plus
- Strong relationship-builder with clear communication skills
- Organized and comfortable managing data and documentation systems
- Able to respond appropriately in challenging or crisis situations
- Committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth
What You'll Do
- Build partnerships with businesses and community organizations to expand internship opportunities
- Match students with placements aligned to their interests and readiness
- Coordinate onboarding for internship sites
- Maintain regular communication with worksites to support positive outcomes
- Assist with job fairs and community outreach efforts
- Monitor participant progress and provide follow-up as needed
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records
- Prepare reports to track trends and program performance
- Represent the program within the community

- Internship partnerships are sustained and expanded across multiple industries
- Students are placed in roles aligned with their goals and developmental readiness
- Worksites are prepared and willing to host future cohorts
- Participant documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready
- Program data is consistently captured and used to inform improvements
- A safe, structured, and professionally managed environment is maintained for youth and partners
Pay & Location
- Salary Range: $50,000 – 60,000 annually, based on experience
- Location: New York, NY – East Harlem – On site
