About the role
Serve as a mentor, advocate, and guide for individuals with disabilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Help team members master essential job tasks, build self-confidence, and achieve greater independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide training that maximizes an individual’s capacity to self-initiate work and avoid becoming prompt dependent.
- Support individuals by addressing, developing, and facilitating personal care skills related to increased work opportunities.
- Complete job analysis to develop and implement effective training plans for supported employees.
- Identify existing natural supports at the job site and develop additional supports to assist individuals in maintaining employment.
- Instruct on warehouse techniques and oversee quality control.
- Assist in identifying and recommending changes in work methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Give frequent and systematic feedback to the host employer and supervisor regarding site progress.
- Model appropriate work habits and use positive approaches to support individuals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings and function in an ever-changing environment.
- Daily standing, sitting, lifting, and walking; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Travel in the community and flexibility in work hours, including availability for evenings.
- Daily use of technology platforms such as Setworks, Paylocity, Microsoft Office, and email.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
Pay
$17–$18/hour based on education level, plus up to an additional $1.75/hour upon completion of all three levels of the NADSP Career Ladder Program.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Weekends off.
