About the role
This position is 100% onsite at the Atlanta office. We are seeking a highly motivated Job Captain to play a pivotal role in the execution of architectural projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and team members to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate consultants and internal team efforts to ensure efficient project execution
- Ensure deliverables meet established timelines and quality standards
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications
- Aid in the development and refinement of design concepts as needed
- Stay current with applicable building codes and regulations
- Ensure all project documents comply with relevant codes and standards
- Review project documents regularly for accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Implement and uphold quality control standards and best practices
- Aid with construction administration tasks, including:
- Site visits
- Responding to RFIs
- Reviewing submittals
- Utilize industry-standard tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and related design and project software
- Oversee drafting production and ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Track and complete outstanding tasks and coordination items
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of architectural experience, including project coordination and documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software
- Working knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
Technical Skills
- Mathematical Ability: Intermediate to advanced skills in calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, and volume
- Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts independently
- Reasoning Ability: Strong ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
