Our projects include extensive exterior renovation and market-ready commercial shell buildings, corporate interiors, tenant improvements, and medical office suites.
About the role
We are seeking a Job Captain with a strong background in engineering to join our dynamic and innovative team. This is a permanent, full-time position that provides an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from office buildings to mixed-use developments, from interior renovations to outdoor plaza designs. This role requires a deep understanding of 3D Rendering, CAD Drafting, BIM, and Construction Documents. The successful candidate will also have a keen understanding of ADA codes and building codes, with a focus on repositioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical development of various projects, including office buildings, interior renovations, plazas, outdoor areas, and mixed-use developments.
- Generate 3D renderings and CAD drawings for projects, ensuring they meet all design and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Review and interpret ADA codes and building codes to ensure all projects comply with these regulations.
- Develop comprehensive construction documents for each project, detailing all necessary information for construction teams.
- Oversee the repositioning of structures, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, and safety.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and instruction on various aspects of the engineering design process.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, ensuring the final design meets their expectations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- Proficiency in 3D Rendering, CAD Drafting, and BIM.
- Extensive knowledge of ADA codes and building codes.
- Experience with a wide range of projects, including office buildings, interior renovations, plazas, outdoor areas, and mixed-use developments.
- Proven ability to develop comprehensive construction documents.
- A strong understanding of the repositioning process.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications would be considered an asset.
