About the role

Stone Arch Services is seeking a senior Java web applications developer for a client located in the North Loop warehouse district, right next to Target Field. The client focuses on financial planning and retirement plans for young, growing families, with a strong emphasis on social media and mobile/responsive design. The development team consists of about 20 IT professionals within a 100‑employee organization, led by an applications development manager who previously worked as a Java architect at Thomson Reuters.

Responsibilities

• Take an active lead in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying both vendor solutions and custom applications in alignment with the client’s overall architecture vision.
• Work with technologies such as Google Analytics/Tag Manager, WordPress, Adobe, AngularJS, and Amazon Web Services.
• Contribute to social media initiatives and mobile/responsive design efforts.
• Collaborate with the existing IT team of approximately 20 employees.

Qualifications

• Senior‑level Java developer with experience in web applications.
• Open to adding and learning additional current technologies.
