Java Developer

About the Role

Full Stack Java developer for the ERLMF Application, an early resolution tool in Home Lending that assists with mortgages. The role involves configuration, automation, and building a complex AI tool with intricate rules. The application is already in production and undergoing further development, with three Scrum teams contributing. This position will help balance team specialization to foster a more well-rounded skill set across all project areas.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to resolving moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• 4 years of engineering experience.
• Java experience within the last 2 years.
• Spring Boot experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Claude (Devin & Cursor are also used in the environment).
• Experience in a corporate bank.

Schedule

3 days in office (mandatory), currently 2 days in Iselin on a set schedule rotating monthly.

Pay

$55–60/hour on W2. Compensation is determined by factors including role scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions.
