About the role
LanguageLine Solutions is hiring bilingual Jinyu-English phone interpreters to work remotely from their home office. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.
Responsibilities
- Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to established protocols.
- Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during emergencies.
- Adapt to LLS technology enhancements to improve service delivery.
- Understand and adhere to industry-specific terminologies and protocols.
- Provide cultural sensitivity and handle sensitive topics with professionalism.
Requirements
- Fluency in Jinyu and English with cultural competency.
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to concentrate and remain neutral during interpreting sessions.
- Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have access to a quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
- Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse for extended periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write in the requested languages (highly preferred).
Skills
- Strong language skills in Jinyu and English.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Technical proficiency with company-provided software and systems.

$0.75 - $0.90 per minute.
Schedule
This is a remote position requiring flexibility to respond to interpreting sessions promptly.
