Job#: 3056550 Job Description: Java/Scala Developer Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (On-site) Role Overview An experienced developer is required to join an collaborative Agile team focused on designing and building high-quality, scalable financial systems. The successful candidate shall work directly with business users to refine requirements, design robust solutions, and assist with validation processes. This is a technical position that demands a focus on hands-on development and active system creation. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions utilizing core technologiesCollaborate within an Agile environment utilizing practices such as pair programming and daily synchronization meetingsRefine complex system requirements through active engagement with business usersWrite comprehensive unit tests and acceptance tests to ensure delivery of high-quality codeParticipate in the shared team codebase using continuous integration methodologiesContribute to production support rotations as required by the business unitAssist during quality assurance and user acceptance testing phases Required Qualifications Experience: Candidates must possess at least five years of professional experience developing solutions with core Java. A minimum of two years of professional experience developing with Scala or other functional programming languages is required. Experience working within a Linux/Unix environment is necessary. Technical Skills: Proven expertise in writing Unit Tests and Acceptance/Behavior Tests is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong data structure, algorithm, and problem-solving capabilities, along with experience in continuous integration environments.
