Java Developer (US)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs, and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other developers.
• Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 2–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Java 8+, and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git and software development lifecycle practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of React, Angular, or other frontend technologies is a plus.
