About the Role
This position involves working on an agile team with 2-week sprints, focusing on data research, ETL development, and cloud migration. Responsibilities include coding, unit testing, data research, performing UAT, and ensuring data integrity before production release.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing processes using Java, TestNG, Selenium, and Appium.
- Analyze existing QA practices and recommend strategies for improvement while executing testing.
- Maintain and execute manual smoke and regression scripts to ensure new code or releases do not introduce errors.
- Document and track all test results in accordance with defined processes.
- Investigate problems and develop corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
- Recommend process optimizations and modifications.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
- Develop technical work documents for controlled work packages.
- Perform ETL development, data research, and unit testing in a cloud migration environment.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of experience with Object-Oriented Design and coding in multiple languages.
- Expertise in Java with a solid understanding of data structures and common algorithms.
- Experience in parallel and distributed systems.
- Good knowledge of SOA and Microservices architecture with hands-on experience in designing and implementing REST/SOAP web services/APIs.
- Hands-on experience with application design, data management, and automated testing.
- Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Hive, Shell, JavaScript, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, Redis, MongoDB, NoSQL, DB2) is an added advantage.
- Experience with UNIX Shell scripting, SQL, and ETL tools (DataStage preferred).
- Knowledge of Python, SAS, Java, AWS, and Snowflake is preferred.
- Proficient in Apex and VisualForce (Apex classes, triggers, batch processes, web services/APIs, Visualforce Pages, Components & Controllers, test coverage classes, and JavaScript).
- Lightning Platform experience and configuration.
- Excellent understanding of Salesforce SOQL and SOSL.
- Exposure to the SFDC data model, data architecture, and data management.
- Thorough understanding of DevOps and change management processes.
- For the Energy Safety role: Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing teams/programs related to hazard mitigation, safety performance metrics, safety culture, and the electrical utility sector.
- Bachelor’s degree (required for Energy Safety role).
- PMP Certification (required for Energy Safety role).
- Experience with the electrical utility industry (required for Energy Safety role).
- Proven track record of leading safety improvements and achieving measurable safety performance outcomes (required for Energy Safety role).
