Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release software using Java in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Work on multiple product features without guidance and propose technical solutions for new and revised features.
- Manage individual project timelines, priorities, and delivery.
- Actively participate in design and code reviews.
- Train staff new to the team.
- Implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff.
- Contribute to software code and design reviews.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. A Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation is also acceptable.
Skills
- Object-oriented, Java-based backend software development.
- Spring Framework technologies for building backend services.
- Design and development of RESTful APIs for microservices and distributed systems.
- Relational and non-relational database technologies including MySQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
- Cloud-based application development and deployment environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins or Harness.
- Data modeling, Data Transfer Objects (DTOs), and API design patterns.
- Exposure to multiple programming languages and frameworks (Python, Golang, or JavaScript) for cross-team collaboration and system integration.
Pay
Base pay range for this role in Scottsdale, Arizona: $106,278.00–$171,500.00 per annum. Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
Schedule
40 hours per week; Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
