Backend Java Developer

Our Livingston, NJ Fintech client is seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer with 7+ years of experience to join their team as a long-term contractor. The role is focused on building scalable, high-performance backend applications in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable backend services, APIs, and database solutions. You will design, develop, and support enterprise-level applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, high-performance backend applications
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
• Work with AWS for cloud-based application development and deployment
• Write and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions
• Integrate enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and solve technical problems

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend-focused Java development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
• Strong AWS experience, including cloud-based application development and deployment
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience, including complex queries and stored procedures
• Experience with enterprise application development and integration
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: onsite 3 days per week.
