Java Developer- Backend

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina • Duration: Contract • Visa: W2 – Independent Visa Holders & H1b Transfer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer 3 with expertise in Core Java to join our team on a contingent basis. The selected candidate will contribute to moderately complex initiatives, collaborate with team members, and support the migration of a legacy collections application. This role requires a strong background in Java development, React, and backend engineering.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Collaborate with client personnel to meet Software Engineering deliverables while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Support the migration of a legacy collections application from Java Server Faces to React.
• Work within a Kanban team performing quarterly releases.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 5 to 7 years of Java Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in React and Core Java backend development.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with the client’s systems or applications.

Pay

$48–55 per hour

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
