Java Application Developer

About the role

As a Senior Java Application Developer at Incedo, you will play a key role in designing and developing distributed systems while collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality Java-based enterprise applications
• Build scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using modern software engineering principles
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define technical roadmaps and implementation strategies
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
• Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, coding standards, automated testing, and best practices
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and Documentation teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Build reliable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across global locations

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade Java applications
• Strong knowledge of: Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Distributed Systems
• Strong understanding of: Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns
• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working with managed cloud databases
• Proven experience leading development initiatives from design through production deployment
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Amazon SQS or Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and secure application development
• Experience with Big Data technologies
• Experience building SaaS platforms and customer-facing enterprise products
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
