Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, integrate, test, and document front-end or back-end applications.
- Develop new programs and enhance existing applications based on supplied specifications.
- Perform performance testing and user testing to ensure application quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to application development and support.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in application development using either Java or .NET technologies.
- Skills: Experience designing complex applications using Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles; experience utilizing design patterns in application development; experience working with XML in conjunction with Java or .NET applications; experience using modern development environments and integrated development tools.
Qualifications
- Java Technology Stack: Ability to design complex applications using Object-Oriented Design techniques; understanding and application of software design patterns; strong core Java language knowledge; experience utilizing XML with Java applications; experience with one or more Java server-side technologies: Web Services, Java Message Services (JMS), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), J2EE Containers; SQL knowledge and experience; experience with one or more Java user interface technologies: Java Server Pages (JSP), JSTL, Swing, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX; experience with one or more Java open-source frameworks and tools: JUnit, Ant, Struts, Hibernate, Spring; experience with Java IDEs, including: Eclipse, IntelliJ, OR other IDEs.
- .NET Technology Stack: Ability to design complex applications using Object-Oriented Design techniques; understanding and application of software design patterns; strong knowledge of C# and the .NET core libraries; experience utilizing XML with .NET applications; experience with one or more .NET server-side technologies: Web Services, ADO.NET, SQL; experience with one or more .NET user interface technologies: ASP.NET, Windows Forms, Eventing, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX; Microsoft Office Integration; Third-Party Widget Libraries.
Skills
- Experience working across front-end and back-end application development environments.
- Knowledge of application integration, testing methodologies, and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise application development standards and best practices.
