Japanese Speaking App Developer

About the role

You are fresh out of school, looking for your first adventure. You eat, sleep, dream in code. You hang around StackOverflow and your idea of social networking is GitHub. You want to build applications that people use, that brings a smile to user’s faces. You dig good GUI, and are sensitive to user interaction and app design aesthetics. Most importantly, you are proficient in both English and the Japanese language: written and spoken.

Bonus skills

Extra brownie points if you have developed apps and games before, especially those involving videos and images, like photo sharing, collage, instagrammy type apps. Any exposure to OpenCV, CoreML, CreateML will be awesome too.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers in Japan in project and feature discussions, requirements gathering, documenting, tracking, and delivery of projects
• Occasionally travel to Japan and internationally to support project meetings with customers or tradeshows
• Support app development ideally in both iOS and Android and even cloud related projects (with mentorship to develop these skills)

Skills and requirements

• Software development experience in iOS and/or Android, AWS and other cloud related APIs
• Speaks, reads, writes Japanese and English
• Great personality and all around awesome person
• Demonstrated capabilities in software development is more important than paper qualifications
• Ability and desire to learn (fast)
