About the role
Mercor is hiring music experts for a frontier generative-music AI lab, working in Japanese.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe melodies by ear with accurate pitch and rhythm
- Recognize key, tempo, and time signature
- Handle sung lyrics with strong fluency, including accents and less-clear delivery
Requirements
- Formal musical training or professional experience
- A degree in music or several years of work as a musician, composer, transcriber, engineer, or teacher
Qualifications
- Strong ear for music
- Fluency in Japanese for handling sung lyrics
