Spanish Music Expert (Train AI Models Part Time!)

Mercor is hiring music experts for a frontier generative-music AI lab, working in Spanish.

About the role

This is a pilot position that requires 2–5 hours per week, but there is a high likelihood of expansion. High performers will be prioritized for future phases.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe melodies by ear with accurate pitch and rhythm
• Recognize key, tempo, and time signature
• Handle sung lyrics, including accents and less-clear delivery

Requirements

• Formal musical training or professional experience (degree in music or several years as a musician, composer, transcriber, engineer, or teacher)
• Strong fluency in Spanish for handling sung lyrics accurately

Qualifications

Strong ear for transcribing melodies and recognizing musical elements.

Skills

• Proficiency in transcription software
• Ability to work with audio and MIDI files
• Knowledge of Spanish language and culture
