Janitorial Area Manager

About the Role

Clean Team Inc, a consolidator of leading specialty cleaning services and contractor services providers across Ohio and the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee operations of multiple locations across Dayton, OH. This role requires a strategic mindset, superb leadership skills, and expertise in budgeting and operations planning to ensure client contracts are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will lead with a service attitude and take ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure world-class customer service while building continuity within teams at each location.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure delivery of contracted services.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Preserve all equipment and order supplies to ensure teams have the resources to complete contract specifications.
• Maintain effective relationships and function as the primary contact with clients to meet scope of work guidelines.
• Complete regular on-site inspections.
• Quickly coordinate site-specific requests and address problems or complaints promptly.
• Ensure daily operations are within budget for each assigned contract.
• Communicate staffing needs with direct report and recruiters.
• Sustain staff turnover within company expectations.
• Ensure quality and safety standards by training staff on all company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Implement continuous improvements and encourage the team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working.
• Aid in interviewing, recruiting, and training staff.
• Attend regular meetings to discuss business updates, issues, and opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a team lead or similar managerial role.
• Experience in the janitorial industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset; fosters an environment that supports learning and intelligent risk-taking.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Pass a background check.
• Highly meticulous with an aptitude and desire to learn, display critical thinking skills.

• Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
