Able Facility Solutions is looking for a Janitorial Area Manager to join our rapidly growing facilities services team and help lead our boots-on-the-ground teams - an opportunity to build a long-term career and grow and evolve with the company. This is a field-based, 2nd shift role managing customer sites, frontline janitorial staff, and site supervisors across the North Jersey, Central Jersey, South Jersey, and Philadelphia regions Able Facility Solutions has been a trusted provider of tailored, flexible cleaning solutions for businesses in the Tri-State area for 40 years. Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day janitorial operations across a portfolio of client buildings, ensuring services are completed consistently, on schedule, within scope, and to company standards.Lead 2nd shift field operations, coach, schedule, and hold accountable site supervisors and frontline cleaning staff; support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development.Responsible for overall service delivery; requiring day and evening visits across assigned client sites in order to assess cleanliness, staffing, and safety protocols. Identify deficiencies and identify recurring issues through documented quality inspections, and work with site teams to course correct and raise performance standards.Own client relationships for assigned accounts by maintaining regular communication, responding quickly to concerns, and following through on corrective actions.Solve problems in real time through timely responses to urgent issues, client call requests and weekend support. Protect service quality and maintain account profitability through the management of site-level budgets, labor, supply, equipment, and overtime costs for assigned accounts.Responsible for assigning and coordination of shift coverage, call-offs, special projects, emergencies, and changing client needs, including occasional night and weekend support. Partner with Operations, HR, Sales, and Administrative teams on staffing, timekeeping, new account transitions, safety, compliance, and operational reporting. RequirementsBilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)3-5 years of operational leadership experience, preferably in janitorial, custodial, facilities management, other multi-site service business.High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary coursework or certifications in management or facility services are a plus. RBSM certification or willingness to pursue it is preferred.Ability and willingness to work a variable schedule that includes day and evening site visits, occasional weekends, and urgent operational needs to maintain visibility and ensure operational oversight.Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.Hands-on leadership style with the willingness to support teams directly as needed rather than managing only from a desk.Strong client-facing communication, judgment, professionalism, follow-through, and the ability to remain calm and respectful under pressure.Comfort using a smartphone and mobile applications for communication and time tracking.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods (standing, bending, carrying, moving supplies as required) About Able Facilities GroupAble Facilities Group’s family of companies provides facility and cleaning services across corporate and office environments, education, healthcare, retail/commercial, industrial/manufacturing, hospitality, government/municipal buildings, and sports/entertainment venues.
